This Privacy Policy explains how ResReader collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our AI-powered resume analysis platform (referred to as "the App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of personal information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and profile photo when you register an account.

• Resume Data: Resumes and CVs uploaded for analysis, including personal details, work history, education, and skills contained within.

• Job Descriptions: Job postings and requirements you create for candidate matching.

• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including scan counts, feature usage, and preferences.

• Payment Information: Subscription and billing data processed securely via Stripe.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

The data collected by ResReader serves the following purposes: providing AI-powered resume analysis and candidate matching, ensuring secure user authentication, enhancing user experience through personalization, analyzing platform usage for performance improvements, processing payments and managing subscriptions, complying with legal requirements, and providing customer support.

3. Third-Party Services

Our platform utilizes third-party services to enhance functionality and ensure reliable operation:

4. Data Storage and Security

We store your data securely in Firebase/Firestore with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, Firebase security rules to restrict unauthorized access, regular security audits and monitoring, and secure authentication protocols. While we implement robust security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Resume data is stored until you delete it or close your account. You can request deletion of your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: service providers who assist in platform operations (under strict confidentiality agreements), legal authorities when required by law, and business partners only with your explicit consent. Anonymized and aggregated data may be used for analytics and platform improvements.

7. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold.

• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information.

• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data.

• Export: Download your data in a portable format.

• Withdraw Consent: Opt-out of non-essential data processing at any time.

• Restriction: Ask us to limit how we process your data in certain cases.

• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.

• Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@resreader.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a candidate whose data was uploaded by an employer using ResReader, that employer is the controller of your data; we will forward your request to them and assist as required.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage patterns, and improve our services. Essential cookies are required for platform functionality. Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with our platform. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.

9. International Data Transfers

Because some of our service providers (including our AI processing and hosting providers) are based in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the EEA/UK. Each transfer relies on a lawful mechanism - primarily the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable - together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, in accordance with the GDPR. 10. AI-Assisted Screening

ResReader uses artificial intelligence to help analyze resumes and interviews and to produce match scores. These outputs are decision-support tools: final hiring decisions are made by a human, and our customers are instructed not to reject candidates automatically. You may request information about how automated processing affected a decision that concerns you. The AI providers we use do not use this data to train their models.
